We got honky-tonk bass Blasting off your face
as the drums of filling up the room
We got black charred lungs
Venom licking tongues rejuvenating deadly fumes
And I’ll sink so low
to the depths of rock ‘n roll beyond the last sip of a pint and when the sun goes down my angels will burn me alive
We’re dishing road rage in spades laughing through the pain as the dust is clogging up our veins
And we’re selling ourselves for booze and plastic wealth splitting pennies with a rusty blade
And I’ll sink so low to the depths of rock ‘n’ roll beyond the last sip of a pint and when the sun goes down my angels will burn me alive and ill sink so low to the point of no control I think I lost the last bolt in my mind and when the sun goes down my angels will burn me alive
Staring into the red
Blank bullets in the gun to my head
And the noose it’s made out of thread and
My shoes are made of lead
Where am I now
I see the ground
I’m feeling all alone
Drown myself in whisky
Don’t wanna be found
All this time I’ve tried to better myself
I realize it’s useless cause I’m
Speeding to hell
And I’ll sink so low to the depths of rock ‘n’ roll beyond the last sip of a pint and when the sun goes down my angels will burn me alive and I’ll sinks so low to the point of no control I think I lost the last bolt in my mind and when the sun goes down my angels will burn me alive
It sounds both mysterious and inviting, a real adventure
Like another review said it sounds exactly like the cover and I can't quite find words to explain why, you gotta listen!! The whole album is so intriguing, its sonorities are really new for me but this album sounds like an epic in itself. Also really curious about the story, I'm gonna listen to more Black Sky Giant vouil
The psychedelic escapades of mr. Harlon and his flock of dead crows are a new discovery for me, but one of my favourites in the past few years. Dark exploration of the human state, but with a tint of hope and determination. Vanja
At the beginning of the last several calendar years, BSG has put out a new album. They have gotten consistently more expansive and astounding with each release. I don’t even feel comfortable calling this “Stoner rock“ much of the time. I’m reminded of things as varied as Floyd’s Momentary Lapse, 4AD and IRS bands from the 80s, and drone rock pioneers Earth.
Keep up the amazing work, and I wish you guys many more fans! Brian Parker
Nicolette Hoang's velvety vocals are the finishing touch on this pitch-perfect update on outlaw country with a touch of 60s glam. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 27, 2024
