about

Hands down the most personal and gut wrenching song I've written to date. More of a poem than anything. It doesn't get more personal than this

lyrics

Hey there now, wheres the light switch
i got another fuckin day with a life's sales pitch
and every second second i gotta ring the bitch
i stay this poor cause i feed the rich

The path aint worn, just beat to the ground
locked up locked down i dont wanna get out
the noise of the silence in an awful sound
And the time is now to blow the fucker down

Expose that soul for the bright red lights
Embrace myself for descending flights
Of life pinned up and robbed for a pint
I'd give it all for nothin just to have one bite

I'm starving here. Feed me please
I might be dead but im on my knees
This is the only fuckin time you'll hear my heart scream
It's beggin' for life to repeat

Last i checked i never came to
The knobs don't turn and don't lead through
To a mind of a genius with a low IQ
But it really doesn't matter. Never came to.

I guess this is where i'll let you breathe for me
Did i tell you i'm a contagious disease
And a pitiful excuse for the air you breathe
But it's all locked up, boarded. Ain't no key

The weight of the ceiling, i try to hold it up
And my boots dug down gripped to the mud
As i struggle, keep balanced pushed as hard as i could
This is probably where i will just give up

The expression that's glued right on my face
Is one to forget or perhaps embrace
But i hope you don't think i was lost and a waste
I was never really here in the first place.
