Tuning out / Feel the age
Scar your face / Your skin's decayed
You feel alive / Yet broke and sore
As you're bleeding out I'm begging for more
You feel the cracks / Your muted lips
Your voice is dead / Exhaling mist
It's just a whisper / An echoed scream
When you close your eyes that's when I'm seen
I'll make it slither down your throat
I'll ring that flattened sharpened note
I'll possess your body
And now you're mine to be controlled
Blackened heart / Chipped spitting teeth
You'll kill yourself / Just to be free
Now kiss the ground / It's getting cold
Feel my death creeping in breaking bone by bone
My shadowed veil / Has been removed
Just like your soul / It's being consumed
You're seeing red / Your life's in doubt
As I'm coming into focus you're fading out
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
